Integrity Week 2025 is a campus-wide initiative at NorQuest College that invites all NorQuesters to reflect on integrity in their roles as students, faculty, and staff.

This year’s expanded focus includes academic, research, and institutional integrity, with events designed to spark curiosity, conversation, and action.

Tuesday, October 14 & Thursday, October 16 (11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Innovation Studio):

Join us in person for a GenAI hack-a-thon and maker lab where students and faculty can explore generative AI tools through hands-on prompts that are both practical and fun. The Innovation Studio will also feature button-making and creative maker experiences to encourage playful engagement with the concept of integrity in a tech-driven world.

Wednesday, October 15 (Online):

Celebrate the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity (IDoA) with a series of thought-provoking webinars centered on this year’s theme: Everyday integrity: Discovering your superpower.

  • Lunch with EDNAThink before you upload – A conversation about academic file-sharing sites and AI platforms, and what faculty and students need to know. (12:05 – 12:50 p.m.) Registration required.
  • CAIELI WebinarAssessment in a Postplagiarism Era – Featuring Dr. Mike Perkins (British University Vietnam), this hybrid session introduces the AI Assessment Scale as a framework for academic integrity in an AI-transformed world. (12:00 – 1:00 pm). Registration link

Friday, October 17 (Online):

Coffee and Conversation with Dr. Mike Perkins – Join the University of Calgary and the Alberta Council on Academic Integrity (ACAI) for a virtual conversation with Dr. Mike Perkins, Associate Professor and Head of the Centre for Research & Innovation at British University Vietnam. Dr. Perkins is a global leader in GenAI policy integration and co-author of the Artificial Intelligence Assessment Scale (AIAS), adopted by over 250 institutions worldwide.

This session will explore GenAI’s impact on education, ethical AI integration in assessment, and how academic integrity can evolve in an AI-transformed world. (10:00 – 11:00 am) RSVP required.

Whether you're attending in person or online, Integrity Week offers meaningful opportunities to explore how integrity shows up in everyday decisions and actions across the college.

This event is a collaborative partnership between the Academic Portfolio, Research & Development, Reimagine Higher Education, the Learner Centre, the Student Resolution & Integrity Office, and the SANQC.
