Join us for a vibrant and meaningful Indigenous Bead Making workshop in the Makerspace on June 17! This is a wonderful opportunity for all students, staff, and faculty to come together, connect, and celebrate Indigenous culture through the art of beading. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, this workshop invites you to engage in a creative process that honors tradition, community, and storytelling. Let’s gather to share stories, learn new skills, and build lasting connections in a welcoming and inspiring space.

National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada is celebrated annually on June 21, recognizing and honoring the diverse cultures, contributions, and histories of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. This workshop on June 17 is part of this week of celebration and remembrance, providing a special chance to reflect, appreciate, and engage with Indigenous heritage here at NorQuest College.

Join us as we learn to bead in collaboration with the miyo-pimâtisiwin Centre. All supplies are provided! Open to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous folk.
