Nourish your body, fuel your future at the NorQuest Fresh Food Market!

The Fresh Food Market is a wellness-driven to make nutritious food more accessible and affordable for the NorQuest community. In partnership with the WECAN Food Basket Society, this program provides a monthly opportunity to purchase fresh produce and meat baskets at significantly reduced rates.

Why sign up for the Fresh Food Market?

  • Enjoy a selection of healthy fruits, and vegetables in a produce basket, and protein such as ground beef or chicken in a meat basket
  • Convenient pick-ups once a month on campus
  • Affordable options

How it works:

The market is subscription-based so, pay a one-time $5 membership fee per year. You can order as many baskets as you need in an order.

  • The price is then:
    • $15 (+GST) per order for a fresh fruit and veg basket
    • $20 (+GST) for a meat basket
  • You must register in advance and select your order by the specified deadline each month (see attached schedule)

Very soon, halal options, more produce and pantry staples such as eggs and milk will be available, so keep an eye out!

If you are interested but need support with costs, email wellness@norquest.ca to speak with a social worker for an assessment.

This program is available to all NorQuest staff, faculty, students and alumni. Faculty and staff may also sponsor a basket.
