Black Creators Marketplace
February 13, 2024
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Edmonton - SCFL, Atrium
February is Black History Month, a time for Canadians to honour and celebrate the diversity, history and culture of African, Black and Caribbean communities and to acknowledge the many everyday contributions of Black communities from across the country.
Come and mingle with local ACB (Afro-Black-Caribbean) creators, businesses, drag stars and non-profits.
You can also shop Black History Month merchandise at The Core (the NorQuest College bookstore) starting February 1, 2024 including postcards made by students at the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre's printmaking program ($2.50), tote bags ($15), and mugs ($20).
Proceeds from sales will go towards a SHINE bursary for Afro-Black-Caribbean students.
The artwork featured on each of these items was created by Edmonton artist Diana Ohiozebau.
