Supriya James leads the Human Resources function for CWB Financial Group. With experience in diverse areas of Human Resource Management, Supriya’s expertise is in developing and implementing sustainable human resource strategies that align with and support strategic business growth for the organization. Supriya has lived and worked in four countries and has led the Human Resources function in several industries including financial services, retail, property development, hotels and the government. Supriya is passionate about building high performing teams. As a certified Executive Coach, her biggest reward has been the privilege of working with and developing some incredible, diverse talent, in the businesses she has been associated with. Her education background includes a Bachelor with Honour’s degree in Economics and a Masters in Human Resources Management.
Supriya grew up in India and after living in various parts of the world, she and her husband adopted Edmonton as their home fifteen years ago. Keshav and Supriya absolutely love living in the Prairies and are passionate about giving back to the community of Edmonton. Supriya has chaired the Board of Directors for the YWCA Edmonton and chairs CWB Global (an employee resource group for new Canadians). She enjoys working to advocate for empowering and supporting women in their lives and their careers, especially new Canadians, as they settle into our community. Keshav and Supriya enjoy supporting local musicians and continue to explore new countries and cultures through their travels.
