How to pay for parking

Parking payment will be contactless using the HotSpot app. Fast tap signs are in all NorQuest parking lots for quick mobile tap payments. Day passes are subject to HotSpot fees. When buying a day pass on the app, you can pick between $0.20 per transaction, $2.00 per month, or $20 per year.

Choose an option to pay:

  1. Download the HotSpot app

    • Download the HotSpot app from Apple or Google Play.
    • Follow the prompts to set up your account and choose a Hotspot membership:
      • pay-per-use at $0.20 per transaction (charged during the parking session, not in advance)
      • $2.00 plus tax per month
      • $20.00 plus tax per year
    • Add money to your HotSpot virtual wallet.
    • Enter the zone number indicated on signs in the parking lot to start paying for parking.
    • Payment will be deducted from your HotSpot virtual wallet.
  2. Use the QR code or use NFC capability on signs in the parking lots

    • Scan the QR code or touch your mobile phone to the fast tap signs in the parking lot.
    • You will be redirected to the HotSpot parking payment page. This is a pay-per-use option with a $0.35 fee per transaction. No membership is needed, but Apple Pay or Google Pay must be set up on your smartphone.
    • Enter the zone number indicated on signs in the parking lot, along with your license plate number. Payments are made by Apple Pay and Google Pay only.
  3. Visit the HotSpot website to pay

    • If you do not have a smartphone, visit htsp.ca on a computer to create an account to make payments. Membership fees apply:
      • pay-per-use at $0.20 per transaction (charged during the parking session, not in advance)
      • $2.00 plus tax per month
      • $20.00 plus tax per year

The pay-per-use option needs users to upload money ($20 minimum) to their virtual wallet. Unused funds can be refunded by emailing HotSpot at support@htsp.ca or by calling at 1.855.712.5888 (toll-free).

For more information about the HotSpot app, watch the HotSpot parking tutorial video and HotSpot fast tap tutorial video. Email parking@norquest.ca for more information.

How to pay for parking – alternative option

The Zipstall app is available in our daily lots and monthly lots during after-hours.

Note: Zipstall is not available in NorQuest’s parkade space; monthly parking permits are not available through Zipstall.

Instructions:

  • Download the Zipstall app from your Apple or Google Play
  • Enter the location you wish to park in the ‘near’ box
  • Enter the date and time
  • Enter the duration of your parking session
  • Click ‘get the zip pick’ to choose the cheapest Zipstall location. Or, click ‘view options on map’ to open all parking locations near your chosen area.
  • When entering a NorQuest parking lot, you can also click directly on ‘start session’ from the Zipstall app. This will preload your location to begin your parking session. Every time you park with Zipstall you get a chance to spin the wheel and earn reward dollars toward local restaurants as listed in the app!
