Art for Allyship and Consent

NorQuest Pride is collaborating with Violence Prevention and Support Services (Student Health and Wellness Centre) to commemorate Consent Week and Ally Week through an artistic exploration of allyship and consent on campus.

Participants will have the chance to use creative outlets such as origami, painting and other arts and crafts to explore these ideas and help build a community of inclusion and support on campus.

Activities will include rock and canvas painting, origami, play with clay, reflection wall, button making, collage and others. The idea is to continue building a culture of care on campus, and to encourage NorQuesters to think about and practice the values of consent and allyship through fun and accessible channels such as arts and crafts.

By giving NorQuesters a chance to explore and express their creative sides in the context of these themes, we can reduce harm, foster inclusion and strengthen our campus culture. All are welcome to drop in at any time, and all supplies are provided.
