Brad Arkison

Brad Arkison serves as Vice President, Students & External Relations, where he provides leadership for student services, enrolment management, domestic and international recruitment, marketing and communications, advancement, government, community, and corporate relations, and the Office of the Registrar. In this role, he works across the institution and with external partners to advance NorQuest’s strategic priorities, strengthen the student experience, and support the college’s aspiration to transform lives and communities.

Throughout his career, Brad has focused on leading organizations to make better strategic decisions, anticipate change, and understand emerging trends to create lasting impact for the people and communities served. His approach balances data-informed insight with engagement, relationships, and collaboration. His background in strategy, research, marketing, and organizational leadership shapes how he approaches complex challenges and institutional planning. 

Since joining NorQuest in 2018, Brad has played a significant role in shaping the college’s positioning, strengthening its reputation, and supporting the institution through periods of substantial growth and change. His leadership has contributed to the advancement of NorQuest’s brand, the expansion of its reach, and a sustained focus on outcomes that benefit the institution as a whole. Prior to joining the college, he advised organizations across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors on strategy, research, stakeholder engagement, and organizational development.

Brad believes post-secondary institutions have a unique role to play in strengthening communities and creating opportunities for people to improve their lives. Beyond his leadership at NorQuest, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Edmonton Downtown Business Association and previously served on the Board of the Today Centre, reflecting his commitment to community well-being and the social and economic vibrancy of Edmonton.

Brad holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta.
