1000 Women Child Care Centre

The 1000 Women Child Care Centre in the new Singhmar Centre for Learning at NorQuest College will:

  • Support safe and accessible child care for student parents, caregivers and the community at large.
  • Impact student success by providing critical child care supports.
  • Enhance the quality of NorQuest College's child care training programs.
  • Increase access to licensed child care for Edmontonians.

The Centre will accommodate 56 children and provide full food services.

  • Total space allocation: 450 square metres (4850 sq. ft.)
  • 2 toddler rooms (24 children); 2 preschool rooms (32 children)
  • Secure outdoor play area
  • Spaces allocated for children of students, staff and community
  • Eligible students will receive a subsidy to enrol their children in the Centre (amounts will vary depending on need)
