On September 3, Michelle Beck joined NorQuest College as Vice President Corporate Services and Finance. Before NorQuest, she was the Vice President, People and Culture for ATB Financial. In previous jobs, Michelle has been an executive responsible for diverse functions such as corporate performance management, strategy, human resources, IT, and finance. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.

Freedom Cannabis, an Alberta-based licensed cannabis producer, is set to open its growing facilities to students taking the Cannabis Trimming & Production course at Edmonton’s NorQuest College. The move into education is part of Freedom’s commitment to fostering a highly-skilled workforce that is needed to scale Alberta’s thriving cannabis industry.
