In this post-bachelor certificate, you will acquire the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to improve learning outcomes of adult and K-12 English language learners (ELLs). Learn to incorporate educational technologies and intercultural communication strategies into task-based lessons to support the diverse cultural, linguistic, and social needs of ELLs.
Students will develop a clear understanding of how curriculum, methodology, teaching materials, and assessment can be designed, selected, and effectively implemented into classrooms with English language learners. Through active engagement with second language acquisition theory, the essential skills framework, language proficiency benchmarks, and current research, students will develop the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to confidently teach within a variety of English language teaching and learning contexts.
