Students who have extenuating or emergency situations can seek assistance and receive an emergency funding application form in the Student Services Office, Room A125 in the Main Building, Downtown Campus.
The college is able to provide short-term emergency loans to registered students. Students must meet with the Scholarships and Bursaries Advisor, and be able to demonstrate a legitimate need for a loan. Loans are repayable within 30 days, and students are only eligible to apply for an emergency loan once per term. Students who have not paid back an emergency loan in a timely manner will not be considered for further emergency funds.
Emergency bursaries (non-repayable) are also available to students who experience an unanticipated emergency and who are unable to repay an emergency loan. Students must have exhausted all resources before applying for an emergency bursary. Students must meet with the Scholarships and Bursaries Advisor, and be able to demonstrate legitimate need. This type of assistance is available to students only once per academic year.
Students who have outstanding fees or debts to NorQuest College are not eligible to receive either emergency loans or emergency bursaries.
