Occupational Therapy Theories and Foundations of Physical Medicine for Assistants – Lab - THPR 2026

This course allows learners to apply their knowledge of the therapeutic interventions that an occupational therapy assistant may use. Learners will practise handling and modifying ADL equipment, including bathroom equipment, wheelchairs, pressure-relieving modalities, and cushions. Learners will also fabricate a basic splint and learn how to modify and manage orthotics under the supervision of an occupational therapist.

Note: Prerequisite THPR 2020 Co-requisite: THPR 2025 Restricted to Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant
