With the growth in the number of new Canadians participating in the workforce, NorQuest created the Centre for Intercultural Education and saw an opportunity to partner with organizations in both the public and private sectors to conduct applied research that investigates and develops training resources to build English in the workplace and intercultural communication.
Our current Intercultural Practitioner and English in the Workplace certificate programming is appropriate for almost any organization and can be customized to include situational exercises that exist within a particular organization or team.
The Intercultural Practitioner certificate offers three levels of training to support cultural diversity in the workplace. It creates a solid foundation of intercultural knowledge, skills, and awareness. Participants then learn to apply this perspective to respond to everyday workplace situations and develop processes and supports to enhance existing programs and ensure success.
