Medical Terminology III: Medications and Specialties - XHLT 1007

This course supplements XHLT 1005 (Introduction to Medical Terminology) and XHLT 1006 (Medical Terminology II) to provide a further foundation in Medical Terminology. It focuses on an introduction to medications and medication categories, common tests and procedures, and medical specialties.  This course will appeal to  students who have taken other Medical Terminology courses or to students entering the health care field who want an additional foundational course before starting.  Students who successfully complete XHLT 1007, along with XHLT 1005 and XHLT 1006, may request PLAR credit towards HLTH 1003 (Medical Terminology). *This course must be completed within 8 weeks from the start date selected at registration.
