In this course, students explore the concept of neuro diversity, as well as the attitudes, values, and skills that support children and youth in self-regulation. The concept that behaviour is communication will be discussed. Students will develop strategies to support positive behaviour and self-regulation. The adult role in modelling self-regulation and low-arousal strategies will be examined.Restricted to Child and Youth Care
