NorQuest College operates as an accredited high school and offers courses that follow the Alberta Education curriculum. These courses prepare you to continue your studies at NorQuest or other post-secondary institutions in Alberta and across Canada.
You can choose to upgrade only the courses you need for post-secondary entrance or you can earn a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
|Academic Upgrading for ESL YouthFull-time|
This full-time program is designed to increase academic and personal communication skills for English as a second language (ESL) youth, ages 17–25. By focusing on language skills as well as upgrading academic skills, you will be better prepared to enrol in further post-secondary programs. The small class sizes and the ability to work with a group of your peers in a supportive, academic environment ensures that you will receive the maximum amount of individualized support and success.

Accounting technicians are involved in the day-to-day practical work of accountancy and play a key operational role in producing reliable financial information. They may also perform a wide range of finance roles, from accounts clerk to financial controller and beyond.

The Addictions Recovery Practitioner post-diploma certificate program provides health and human services professionals with the knowledge and skills to work with clients experiencing substance use and concurrent disorders. The program is offered in a flexible combination of online courses and live classroom instruction on evenings and weekends.

The Administrative Professional certificate equips students with the skills and knowledge to become an effective office professional. Students will learn essential office skills such as basic accounting, office management, organizational politics, software applications, business communication, and event management.
|Advanced Education in Orthopaedics for LPNsPart-time, Online|
This post-diploma, advanced certificate program prepares licensed practical nurses (LPNs) with the knowledge and skills for a specialized career in orthopaedics. The program consists of two theory courses, one lab course, and a clinical practice through self-paced study.
Learners will further their understanding of anatomy and physiology in relation to orthopaedics and orthopaedic radiology, assessment, and trauma. The curriculum includes specialized orthopaedic procedures, including casting.
The Apprenticeship Prep program is designed to prepare you for the trade entrance exam and entry into one of 45 designated trades. The focus of the program is on upgrading, practical trades training, and facilitated work experience.

Are you ready to begin your post-secondary journey? Take your first year of arts and sciences courses at NorQuest College. By taking NorQuest's Arts and Sciences program, you may transfer credits to university and enter into the second year of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree. You may also take Arts and Sciences courses to receive credit towards completion of a NorQuest Health or Community Studies program.

The Community Support Worker program is an eight-month certificate designed to develop fundamental knowledge, skills, and attitudes in students to work with marginalized communities and individuals. Graduates are expected to work at the front line of human-service delivery settings.

This 12-week, fast-paced Dental Office Assistant program will prepare you to work in dental practice settings such as dental and denture clinics, orthodontist and specialist offices, dental labs, and other dental-related businesses.
Students learn dental terminology, along with clerical and administrative skills such as scheduling appointments, billing, filing, customer service, and maintaining medical records in dental software. Further, students will participate in a four-week work experience placement in a dental-related office to practice and refine their skills.

The Disability Studies program is a two-year diploma that will help you develop the skills needed to effectively work in supporting individuals with disabilities across their lifespan. Individuals with developmental disabilities need support in early intervention, community settings, schools, recreation, and employment opportunities. A skilled workforce is needed to help people with disabilities achieve their goals and effectively participate as members of the community.
Disability service workers can work in a family or community setting in teams or independently to support individuals and their families. Graduates will create, implement, assess and modify plans to help utilize individuals’ strengths and abilities to increase avenues for meaningful participation in the community and society.

Environmental protection technologists provide an important service to society by helping protect and sustain the long-term health of our ecosystems. This two-year diploma program will prepare students for technical work in the environmental sector. Students will gain the practical knowledge and skills needed to offer professional advice on a wide range of subjects, including: environmental impact assessment; hazardous and non-hazardous waste management; waste reduction and reuse strategies; air, soil, and water pollution prevention and monitoring; compliance auditing; and contaminated site investigation and remediation.

NorQuest College has partnered with the Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) to offer high school and college preparatory programming, as well as English language training, in communities around Alberta.
Foundations for Learning includes a range of 12-week online courses designed primarily for rural learners. Each course includes approximately 45 hours of instructor-led activities presented in an online real-time or online anytime delivery format. In addition, 30 hours of in-person tutorial support are available to you for free in your community at the local CALP provider.

The Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant diploma program prepares students to work in today's interdisciplinary health-care systems. This program will provide students with a strong occupational and physical therapy assistant background, and incorporate essential assistant-level skills in speech language therapy and therapeutic recreation. Equipped with skills in these four rehabilitation disciplines, students will be prepared to meet industry demand and work in various general therapy, rehabilitation, as well as discipline-specific positions.

The rescue series training dives into the techniques and skills needed to perform safe and effective rescue practices. There are three training levels within this specialization. The first is an awareness course to give you a broad but firm understanding of what is required as integral member of a rescue and safety team. The second and third levels are focused on rope rescue.

Develop the knowledge and skills to be a competent member of an industrial fire brigade response team. There are four levels for this training. You can complete one level or all four to advance your career in industrial fire services.

Optical office assistants play an important role in supporting ophthalmologists, optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and opticians, while helping to provide a positive experience for patients and clients.
This 12-week, fast-paced Optical Office Assistant program will prepare you to become a valuable asset to ophthalmologists, optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and opticians while interacting with patients/clients to help make their experience a positive one. Students learn optical terminology, administrative skills to help coordinate and manage patient care, and optical software as well as basic pretesting clinical skills used in practices, clinics, and other related settings. The Therapeutic Recreation certificate program focuses on the knowledge and skills required to plan, implement, and evaluate individual or group therapeutic recreation and social activities. The Therapeutic Recreation certificate program will prepare students with the skills required of a recreation therapy assistant.
Following successful completion, graduates may continue on to the Therapeutic Recreation Diploma program.

Building on the Therapeutic Recreation certificate program, this additional year focuses on the concepts, theory, and practical experiences related to the skills required of a recreation therapist. Students will learn how to apply the concepts in practice to enhance the quality of life for clients receiving therapeutic recreation services.

This 10-month program is designed to provide employment preparation training for adults with mild developmental disabilities. Our post-secondary setting enables learners to further their education beyond high school to transition to the workforce.
Through a combination of classroom and workplace instruction, you will acquire training on current equipment, an understanding of current workplace practices, food safety and handling skills, and independent living skills. Your self-confidence and marketable skills will increase while receiving ongoing, intensive support and mentoring from college faculty staff.
