Palliative and End-of-Life Care

As a caregiver, it can be incredibly stressful and emotionally overwhelming to provide end-of-life care for a loved one. You’re constantly wondering if you’re following the right procedures or providing the proper care to ensure your loved one is as comfortable as possible.

Without the right resources readily available, you’re left feeling unconfident. Not to mention, you have a host of other responsibilities and don’t have the time to track down the information you need.

Family Caregiver Wellness Workshops are designed to present the information you need to feel confident about providing end-of-life- care to your loved one while communicating effectively with health-care providers.

In this two-hour online workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Describe the impact that grief can have on a person
  • Explore the concept of palliative and end of life care (terminology, palliative scales)&
  • Identify and utilize strategies to comfortably take on the caregiver role at the end-of-life

By learning these crucial skills, you can help your loved one feel more comfortable while being aware of any changes in their condition. Throughout this workshop, you’ll gain a combination of hands-on practice and simulation knowledge that’ll help you feel more confident and empowered when providing end-of-life care.

We’ll also:

  • Show you where to find tools, technologies, and other caregiver resources
  • Teach you techniques to navigating the health system
  • Be available to answer any questions
