National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Wetaskiwin Image

Join us for a Truth and Reconciliation event in Wetaskiwin, where we’ll honour survivors, reflect on our shared history, and strengthen our commitment to reconciliation.

  • 2:00 pm – Community smudge and Honour songs at the Heritage Museum (Wetaskiwin District Heritage Museum, 5007 – 50th Ave)
  • 2:30 pm – Walk to the Peace Cairn (East of the water tower at 5530 50 Ave)
  • 3:00 pm – Prayer and Grandmother Song at the Peace Cairn 
  • 3:15 to 4:30 pm – Program with bannock, soup, and refreshments at Jubilee Park (Diamond Jubilee Park, 50 Avenue and 54 Street)
