Terms of use

Responsibility

  • You are responsible for all materials you sign out.
  • You will be charged the replacement cost for any resources (books, DVDs, reserve items, etc.) that are damaged or lost. These charges will be added to your student account.

Fines and fees

  • NorQuest College Library does not charge late fees on any of our resources, except for laptops, which have a late fee of $1.00/hr.
  • You are responsible for fines and fees for resources borrowed from other NEOS libraries. NorQuest Library staff cannot waive these fines.
  • Each NEOS Member Library sets its own fee structure for its borrowers and resources.

Fee schedule

  • You can borrow materials from the NorQuest Library until your unpaid fines reach $30.00. Borrowing privileges are suspended when unpaid fines exceed $30.00.
  • Items overdue for more than 30 days are considered lost. A replacement fee is charged to your account for lost resources. Fines are waived if the item is returned undamaged.
  • Fines or fees on your student account display as a negative service indicator, which can result in withholding transcripts and future registration.
