Access your account to view borrowed material, holds, and renew any items you currently have.
Your library account is where you will manage all your library activities, including:
- Renewing borrowed resources
- Sign into your account.
- Click your name in the top right corner.
- Select My Loans from the drop-down menu.
- View your current loans and due dates.
- Click Renew for the items you want to extend.
- If successful, you'll see a confirmation, and the due date will update.
If renewal isn't possible, you may have reached the renewal limit or the item has been requested by another patron. In that case, return it by the due date.

Placing a hold on a book
If you can't visit the library immediately or the item is checked out, submit a request to have it set aside.
- Sign into your account.
- Navigate to the item listing in the catalogue
- Click on the Request Button in the item listing
- Select NorQuest College Library from the dropdown menu
- Click Send Request.
- You will receive an email when your item is available to pick up from the Library desk.
- Managing your requests
- Sign into your account.
- Click My Requests from the drop-down menu or the Requests tab.
- Check your request status, queue position, and hold availability. Cancel requests if needed.
- Viewing saved searches
- Sign into your account.
- From the drop-down menu, click on My Saves Folder.
- Select your preferred tab from the following: Saved Items, Saved Searches, and Search History.
All the individual results you pinned or saved can be found in the Saved Items tab. To help you stay organized, you can add labels to individual results. These labels also appear on the right so you can use them to filter results.
To email or export your results:
- Open the saved items tab.
- Select the items you want to email or export by clicking on the checkbox to the upper left of each item in the listing.
- Click on the three dots located above the three save tabs and select email or export from the dropdown menu.
In the Saved Searches tab you'll see all your Saved Queries, including search terms, parameters and filters you've applied. Click on the search to run it again.
- Fines and fees
Library fines & fees
- You’re responsible for all borrowed items. Lost or damaged items incur replacement fees.
- Late Fees: Only laptops have a $1.00/hour late fee.
- Interlibrary loans: You’re responsible for any fines. Fees are set by each library, and NorQuest staff cannot waive them.
- Borrowing privileges are suspended if unpaid fines exceed $30.00.
- Lost Items: Items overdue 30+ days are charged a replacement fee (waived if returned undamaged).
- Unpaid fees may block transcripts and future registration.
- Payments: online—contact the library for details
- Notifications: Fee and overdue statements are sent via email.

Where can I find my barcode number?
You may be asked for a barcode number to sign out books at the self-checkouts or for some library accounts like Solaro. This number can be found

Terms of use
Responsibility
- You are responsible for all materials you sign out.
- You will be charged the replacement cost for any resources (books, DVDs, reserve items, etc.) that are damaged or lost. These charges will be added to your student account.
Fines and fees
- NorQuest College Library does not charge late fees on any of our resources, except for laptops, which have a late fee of $1.00/hr.
- You are responsible for fines and fees for resources borrowed from other NEOS libraries. NorQuest Library staff cannot waive these fines.
- Each NEOS Member Library sets its own fee structure for its borrowers and resources.
Fee schedule
- You can borrow materials from the NorQuest Library until your unpaid fines reach $30.00. Borrowing privileges are suspended when unpaid fines exceed $30.00.
- Items overdue for more than 30 days are considered lost. A replacement fee is charged to your account for lost resources. Fines are waived if the item is returned undamaged.
- Fines or fees on your student account display as a negative service indicator, which can result in withholding transcripts and future registration.

- Notification: Students will be notified about overdue items and fines via email reminders.
