NorQuest College offers professional and confidential counselling at no cost to registered students. Our counsellors possess a wide range of expertise and knowledge as psychologists and educators.
Counsellors provide students with guidance and assistance to cope more effectively with problems that interfere with academic achievement, personal growth, and career development:
- Personal: Stress, self-esteem, interpersonal communications, family issues, addictions, anger, finances and budgeting, and motivation
- Crisis: Bereavement, illness, assault, harassment, suicide, and depression
- Education: Course planning and study skills (note taking, memory strategies, exam preparation, test anxiety, test-taking strategies)
- Vocational: Career choice, and interest and personality testing
- Referral: Referral to other NorQuest services or to community agencies
The Counselling Services office is open from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Call or drop in to book an appointment. Services are also available at our Stony Plain and Westmount Campuses.
