Program Overview
Are you a new Canadian with post-secondary
education or skills training from your country of origin?
If you need assistance regaining entry into your field or
reaching your career goal, ask about NorQuest's Career Options
for New Canadians (CONC) program.
CONC partners with business and industry
to give you up to five months of work experience related to
your education, skills, and previous work history. Along with
the work experience, you also receive 12 weeks of in-class
study related to workplace English, interpersonal and intercultural
skills, job safety, and computer literacy. Join us and gain
that extra edge on employment opportunities!
You will have the opportunity to earn
the following certificates:
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
- St. John Ambulance First Aid
Admission Requirements
- Based on CLB testing. A minimum of 5 in Listening and Speaking is desired.
- Admission interview
Progression
Students must attain a pass grade in each
course to progress through the program. To qualify for graduation,
students must pass all courses.
Credential
After successfully completing this program,
graduates will be awarded a NorQuest Career Options for New
Canadians certificate.
