Program Overview
Brokered from SAIT Polytechnic, this program will provide you with the fundamental skills you need to be employed in the graphic arts, printing, publishing, and other media-related industries. You will learn pre-press techniques including typesetting, page layout, graphic design, and electronic image manipulations. You will also participate in actual press and other digital imaging operations in addition to binding and finishing functions. This program includes training in interpersonal communications and service courses that teach management and leadership skills.
Career Potential
Graduates of the program will find employment with commercial printers, private industrial printing plants, paper and ink wholesalers, printing equipment distributors, sales, advertising agencies, and other graphic arts companies.

Course work completed at another post-secondary institution may be equivalent to course work at NorQuest College. To be considered for transfer credit, a formal assessment must be made. Request forms may be obtained from the Office of the Registrar.
Admission Requirements
50% in English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalent
50% in Pure or Applied Mathematics 20 or equivalent

English Language Proficiency
You must provide proof of English language proficiency (ELP) prior to admission if English is your second language. ELP must have been completed within the two years prior to application to the program. Acceptable evidence of ELP may be one of the following:
CLBA 7
TOEFL iBT score 71
IELTS Academic 6.0
CAEL 60 (overall score)
Note: Meeting the English language proficiency requirement does NOT exempt the applicant from meeting the English academic course work required for admission to this program.
Progression
Students must attain a term GPA of 2.0 or better in each semester to progress through the program. To qualify for graduation, students must pass all courses and attain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better
Credential
After successfully completing this program, graduates will be awarded a SAIT Polytechnic/NorQuest Digital Graphics Communications diploma.
