Program Overview
This 16-week bridging program is designed
for students who need to upgrade their academic skills for
entry into the Aboriginal Policing and Security program. Students
gain the background and basic skills needed for entry to the
Aboriginal Policing and Security program.
Career Potential
Graduates of the Aboriginal Policing and
Security Program may be considered for recruitment or employment
as a police officer, correctional service officer, sheriff
or bailiff, military police officer, security officer or manager,
or First Nations police officer.
Admission Requirements
- Recommendation for admission from a career
coordinator
- Commitment to completing the GED (General
Education Development) or obtaining a high school diploma
Transferability
This prep program gives you prerequisites
for entry into the Aboriginal Policing and Security program
Credential
After successfully completing this program,
graduates will be awarded a NorQuest Prep for Aboriginal Policing
and Security certificate.
