Prep for Social Work

Program Overview

Get ready for an exciting career in social work as you gain the prerequisites you need to enter NorQuest’s Social Work diploma program. Prep for Social Work is a 16-week program designed to help you gain the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in the Social Work program.

Career Potential

Graduates of the Social Work program can look forward to a career in social work or social services.

Transferability

You will complete the prerequisite upgrading courses as well as obtain advanced credit in the Social Work diploma program.

Admission Requirements

• Minimum 65% in English Language Arts 20-1
• Minimum 50% in Social Studies 10, 13, 10-1 or 10-2
• Clear criminal record check
• Child Intervention Record Check
• CLBA with an average score of 8 (no skill score less than 7)

Credential

Upon successfully completing this program, students will be awarded a NorQuest Prep for Social Work certificate.
