Learn Anywhere, Anytime.....
The Practical
Nurse Program at NorQuest College is focused on learning anytime
and anywhere.
Anywhere
- In class, at home or in the community
- Alone or in a group
- Inside or outside
- Rural or urban
- Regional, national or international
Anytime
- Any day, including weekends
- During the day, evening or night
- Before work, after work, at work
- Harvest time
- Hockey/soccer practice
- Dance or music recitals
Practical Nurse Program students at NorQuest
College can do the following:
- See a skill performance on a video clip,
a picture of equipment, a table of comparisons, or their
progress with marks
- Hear an explanation, a pre-recorded
Elluminate LiveÒ presentation, the pronunciation
of a term, or sounds associated with a healthy body or one
in ill health
- Read a definition, an explanation, or
feedback about distracters and answers in self-tests
- Interact in an Elluminate LiveÒ
presentation, in a discussion online, via e-mail, by telephone,
or in a simulation
- Test their knowledge with a crossword,
a quiz, a self-test question, or a client simulation
The online enhancements have been
accessed by Practical Nurse students enrolled in the full-time
program in Edmonton and at various brokered and cohort
sites in western Canada, in the part-time evening program
in Edmonton, in the part-time distance program across
Canada, in the paced Aboriginal program in Edmonton, and
in the paced hybrid program in rural Alberta.
