I have always wanted to work in the nursing field but never had the encouragement or the resources to get the education I needed. I entered the workforce as another uneducated service worker. I got married, started a family and lived from pay cheque to pay cheque.
I knew that I needed an education to find stability in my life, so I got my GED and then my Health Care Aide diploma. With these in hand, I felt I could go further. I enrolled in NorQuest College to get the academics I needed. I am now in my second year of the Practical Nurse program and loving it.
NorQuest College has brought back my self-esteem and confidence. I now feel like I can do anything I set my mind to; I am in control. The instructors’ positive attitudes and encouragement have kept me on track and I want to thank them for helping me succeed. |
