"Attending NorQuest has been a very rewarding experience. I have gained so much wisdom."
When my self-destructive behaviour threatened to ruin my health, I turned to God and my Métis heritage for guidance. Although my disabilities have made things difficult for me, through my treaty status and continued faith, I enrolled in the Social Work Diploma program with a multicultural focus at NorQuest College. Assistance from the people in Learning Support Services has given me strength and confidence on my path to success.
I am now a role model for my grandchildren. My family’s support has kept me moving in a positive direction.
One of my best experiences at NorQuest was having my two grandchildren attend my high school graduation ceremonies. I never thought I could accomplish something like that. Looking forward, I want to complete my degree in social work and pass on to the next generation of Aboriginal people the success of finding our true way in life. |
