NorQuest College partners for first Executive Forum in North America
International delegates to discuss excellence in print media

EDMONTON - The Print Media Academy (PMA) of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg, Germany) and NorQuest College's Centre for Excellence in Print Media are hosting an Executive Forum in Banff from September 28 to October 1, 2011. It marks the first time Heidelberg's Print Media Academy has hosted an Executive Forum event in North America and the first time the company has partnered with another organization to host a forum.

"The pressure to compete is increasing and market dynamics are changing rapidly. Managers in the print media industry need to stay up to date on industry trends and on comprehensive, sustainable methods of strategic management," says Martina Brand, Head of International Business Training at Print Media Academy, Heidelberg. "Presentations and discussions will spark new ideas within the areas of finance, sales, leadership, management and marketing. Participants will also be able to share their experiences with experts and colleagues from around the world."

The four-day seminar at Banff Centre will welcome participants from around the world, offering them the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the print sector and share strategies for success.

"WeŽll look closely at market trends in North America, but we are curious to get the global perspective," says Josh Ramsbottom, Principal of NorQuest College's Centre for Excellence in Print Media.

The course will be led by Stan Solomidis and Martina Brand.

Solomidis is the owner and director of Synthesis Australia Pty Ltd. He sits on the board of some very competitive and marketing-oriented printing businesses, which makes him well equipped to assist printing managers who are looking to improve their firm's performance.

Martina Brand is in charge of International Business Training at the Print Media Academy in Heidelberg, Germany and has extensive experience training customers and print buyers all over the world.

The Executive Forum has established itself as an important international forum within the print media industry. Executives from around the world use the forum to share country-specific experience and network in an informal atmosphere. Previous host cities have included Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Moscow, Sao Paulo and Dubai.

The seminar will start with a reception on September 27, 2011. The location for the event is Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta. The seminar fee is CAN $1,690 plus VAT (where applicable), which includes all daily seminar handouts, lunch and drinks. Participants who register before July 28 can take advantage of an early bird rate of CAN $1,390 plus VAT (where applicable). Space is limited so early registration is recommended.

Up-to-date seminar information and profiles of the speakers are available at www.print-media-academy.com and www.norquest.ca.
