Call for nominations! NorQuest College to award its first Honorary Diploma
EDMONTON, Alberta - NorQuest College's Board of Governors is proud to announce a call for nominations to award the College's first Honorary Diploma. The award recognizes distinguished citizens who have made an outstanding and significant contribution to NorQuest, the communities we serve, or who have demonstrated excellence in the values and/or mission of the College.
NorQuest's Honorary Diploma will be awarded during the College's Convocation ceremony at the Winspear Centre on May 10, 2012.
"The Honorary Diploma enables NorQuest to honour and celebrate individuals who have provided their invaluable support to either the College or our community," says Dr. Jodi L. Abbott, NorQuest's President and CEO. "We're excited to award our first Honorary Diploma to a deserving recipient at this year's Convocation ceremony."
Eligible nominees will come from NorQuest's community which includes, but is not limited to, the geographic regions of the College as well as the social, economic, educational and political reaches of the institution be they local, national or international.
Nominations should include a biographical sketch of the nominee including education, accomplishments and awards. As well, nominations should include the nominee's outstanding and significant contribution to the College and/or the communities it serves; how the nominee demonstrated the mission and values of the College; and other relevant accomplishments.
Nominations are confidential and nominees should not be notified.
The nomination deadline is February 13, 2012.
