NorQuest College 2013-2014 budget presents challenges and opportunities

EDMONTON – The NorQuest College board of governors has approved a plan for a deficit budget of $1.43 million for the 2013-2014 fiscal year, making way for a balanced budget in 2014-2015. The budget takes into account a 7.3 per cent ($3.19 million) reduction to the college’s Campus Alberta operating grant and a reduction in the Skills Investment Plan (SIP) funding allocation. The Minister of Enterprise and Advanced Education must approve deficit budget plans.
