NorQuest students are inspirationally motivated and resilient learners. Beyond the demands of the classroom, many are balancing work, family, and financial pressures while navigating the demands of everyday life.

Your support helps students persevere when financial pressures might otherwise force them to reduce their course load, defer their studies, or leave postsecondary education altogether. It empowers them to pursue careers that strengthen Alberta’s frontline workforce and economy, and it helps ensure that a student's circumstances do not determine who has the opportunity to succeed.

An endowed gift to NorQuest makes an impact that lasts. While supporting learners today, it also continues to grow, creating opportunities for future generations of students.
Over the past eight years, NorQuest's endowment fund has grown from $5.27 million to $10.40 million—an increase of 97%—while continuing to provide annual awards and bursaries. During that time, the portfolio achieved an average annual return of 7.55% and generated approximately $3.87 million in investment income.
This growth strengthens our ability to support learners year after year. As the fund grows, so does the capacity to help students overcome barriers, pursue their education, and build better lives for themselves and their families.

The college's investment strategy balances growth with prudent risk management through a diversified portfolio that includes equities, fixed income, alternative investments, hedge strategies, and cash or short-term investments. This approach helps protect and grow your endowment over time, while ensuring funds remain available to support learners today.

Endowment funds help students across the institution, with support reaching programs in health, arts and sciences, business, and foundational learning, ensuring learners from all disciplines can succeed.

Between 2019 and 2026, over $1.38 million in awards was distributed to support students, with yearly totals ranging from $91,257 to $288,624.

The fund has experienced strong growth, increasing from $5.27 million in 2019 to more than $10.4 million in 2026, expanding its capacity to provide meaningful support and opportunities for students.
Sustaining impact through strong returns
With an average annual return of 7.55% from 2019 to 2026, the fund continues to grow, ensuring donor contributions have an enduring impact on student success for years to come.
