Program Overview
If you want to work in the health-care field but are unaware of all your options, this is one to consider - the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician course.
Reprocessing is the cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of reusable medical devices. Medical sterilization and reprocessing practices must follow strict policies and standard operating procedures in order to prevent and control the spread of infection.
Upon completing the theory and practicum components, you will be prepared to qualify for and write the exam that certifies you as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician. The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is the Canadian certifying body that issues the certified medical device reprocessing technician (CMDRT) credential.
