Program Overview
If you’re working in the health care field and want to enhance your leadership skills, this program of study was designed specifically for you. Developed in response to industry demand, and tailored to meet the needs of health care workplaces, you will acquire effective management, human resource and leadership skills that meet your specific needs. To receive this certificate, you must complete all nine courses within five years.

Working Together – Building Effective Relationships in Your Workplace
Learn how to build consensus, maximize participation, use a team approach, and encourage and support your staff.
Performance Management – Optimizing Results
Identify the strengths of your team members and find opportunities for coaching and problem solving to help staff achieve optimal performance.
Intervention – Managing Team Members with Personal Problems
Personal problems can affect an individual's job performance and productivity as well as team morale and safety. Learn how to recognize troubled team members and direct them to the appropriate resources for help.
Resolving Conflict – Reaching Agreement at Work
Learn to maximize the opportunities created by differing ideas while reducing the potential for destructive conflict that results in anger, withdrawal or damage to morale. Recognize the benefits of healthy conflict.
Staying Positive – Rewarding and Energizing Team Members
Develop your understanding of how people respond to change. Learn practical strategies for energizing and rewarding individual team members.
