Program Overview
Learn the language of medical terminology and how to read and interpret commonly used medical terms, symbols, and abbreviations. This course covers rules, prefixes, suffixes, roots, combining forms, body systems, and common drug classifications.
This is a great upgrading course for Hospital Unit Clerks, Medical Administrators already working in the industry.
Recommended Prerequisites
- 60% English Language Arts 30-1 or 65% in English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalent
- 50% in Applied Mathematics 10 or equivalent
English Language Proficiency
If English is your second language, acceptable evidence of ELP may be one of the following:
- CLBA 7
- TOEFL internet based test score 71 (overall score)
- IELTS Academic 6.0
- CAEL 60 (overall score)
Course Length
13 Weeks (7 in class 6 out of class assignments)
9 am to 5 pm every second Saturday
