IT SUPPORT DESK ANALYST BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY SERVICES     NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone dedicated to making a difference to join our Technology Support Services team as an IT Support Desk Analyst.   Like NorQuest College, our team provides an inclusive, diverse and compassionate environment. We are seeking someone with great customer service and communications skills to help our students, faculty, and staff.   Reporting to the Team Lead, the successful candidate will thrive in showcasing our values of finding ways forward by providing computer support and customer service for students, staff and faculty. The IT Support Desk Analyst is the single point of contact for end users regarding issues, inquiries and requests as they relate to computers, telephony and IT network. Client interactions may include, but are not limited to, walk-ins, phone calls, e-mail, instant messaging, chat and the web portal. The IT Support Desk Analyst will document and track all interactions with the end user via the IT Service Management system.   HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE   - Provide technical assistance for students, staff, and faculty. - Be the single point of contact for computer related questions, issues, and concerns. - Track all end user interactions within the IT Service Management (ITSM) system. - Perform simple to intermediate troubleshooting concerning desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, telephones, network connectivity, file permissions, storage, and printing. - Perform administrative tasks as well as create and update documentation. - Provide basic administration and management of user accounts, mailboxes, and applications. - Modify existing Active Directory (AD) account information. - Add, remove, enable, and disable AD accounts. - Reset user passwords and manage permissions for the network, applications, and software. - Troubleshoot e-mail related issues. - Provide Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) support. RETENTION ADVISOR LEARNER EXPERIENCE     NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for people with a passion for student success and a customer service focus to find ways forward and be boldly curious and intentionally courageous in helping make a difference in the lives of our learners as they navigate their educational journey from matriculation through graduation.   Reporting to the Team Lead, Student Retention Services, the Retention Advisor plays a pivotal role in increasing student enrolment, retention, academic success, and striving for a high student satisfaction rate. The Advisor provides guidance, information, and options to help students make informed decisions about their educational journey while keeping up to date and current on internal and external programming, processes and policies to provide consistent, accurate information, and foster a continuous relationship with the college that is standard across all NorQuest programming.      HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE   - Provide advice, information, and assistance in person, over the phone, and electronically to current students. - Guide students through program planning and assist them with program exploration based on their academic success. - Advise new and ongoing students on course selection, consequences of adds, drops and withdrawals, and academic issues. - Guide students through the enrollment process through one-on-one interactions and group workshops. - Advise ongoing students on bridging and laddering within NorQuest, as well as laddering to other institutions, discuss both academic and ELP pre-requisites. - Follow-up with students to encourage course enrollment. - Monitor academic progress of students and analyze progress reports from instructors. ASSOCIATE CHAIR, ACADEMIC UPGRADING FACULTY OF SKILLS AND FOUNDATIONAL LEARNING   NorQuesters are difference makers and we are searching for three aspiring leaders who are dedicated to making a difference in Academic Upgrading (AU).  As part of a collaborative team, an Associate Chair (AC) must have a passion to transform the program and be an active participant in creating an effective learning environment. The key responsibility of the Associate Chair is to provide leadership that promotes student success in AU with a specific focus on a particular subject area:   - Humanities (English, Social Studies, and Aboriginal Studies) - Math - Science (including Computer courses) The ACs will provide leadership and guidance for instructors in their defined subject-area for all deliveries:  real-time, in-person, online, and online anytime and includes NorQuest College campuses in Edmonton and Wetaskiwin.  In addition, ACs will be responsible for leadership tasks relevant to the entire department.   The Associate Chair position includes a 0.67 teaching assignment and reports to the Chair of AU. This position is intended to be a secondment opportunity for permanent Faculty employees. Manager Workplace Accessibility and Inclusion Centre Faculty of Research and Academic Innovation   At the Workplace Accessibility and Inclusion Centre (WAIC), we provide customized consulting and contract services to employers across Canada seeking to hire, retain, and support neurodiverse employees and employees with disabilities.   Reporting to the Director of the Colbourne Institute for Inclusive Leadership, the Manager will provide entrepreneurial expertise and experience in organizational leadership related to pan-disability accessibility and inclusion in the workplace. The role oversees the Centre’s strategic plan, brand, quality, reputation & relationships, growth, research, revenue generation and management of the Workplace Accessibility & Inclusion Center (WAIC).     HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE - Work with an Accessibility Consultant to develop training curriculum for clients. - Create strategic plans, annual business plans and revenue forecasting in collaboration with the CILL Director, Dean and Vice Dean. - Create the WAIC brand and promote recognition and impact for the WAIC. - Directly provide strategic leadership support and delivery of consulting, professional development, and contract service activities to clients, community, and contracted experts. - Provide academic leadership in the applied research, disability community engagement, and educational development. - Recruit, manage, coach and assess the on-going performance of all WAIC staff and contractors. - Report impact, partnerships, financial progress to targets on a regular basis and set targets for activity and associated revenue annually and quarterly. - Provide employers in Alberta and across Canada with fee-based services and resources that will create more accessible workplaces and facilitate the integration of disabled populations into workplaces across Canada. - Respond to RFQs and champion development of new research initiatives for disability accessibility and inclusion programming, research, evaluation, and educational methodologies, professional development, and/or training with wide dissemination of results. - Establish and support original and applied research projects in workplace disability accessibility and inclusion. - Establish partnerships with communities and organizations that support the ongoing work at the WAIC.   WHAT YOU BRING - Related MA degree (in Social Sciences, Accessibility studies, Gender Studies, Adult Education, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu). - Considerable related experience in leadership roles, and experience in entrepreneurship, business development, consulting, training, and research is preferred. Being a recognized community leader in accessibility. - Considerable related experience of instruction and/or facilitating accessibility training in the public and private sector. - Additional professional development in EDI, Accessibility, and associated areas. - Additional professional development in leadership training. - Understanding of instructional design theories, methodologies, and best practices - Extensive knowledge of systemic inequities, EDI theory and practice and Human Rights legislation. - MBA or PMP designation would be an asset. - An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
