- Lunch (12:00 - 2:00 pm): A condensed program for those with more limited schedules. Interactive stations with a light lunch served.
- Dinner (2:00 - 5:00 pm): A more immersive experience with a plated three-course meal.

- Cost: $2500 (lunch); $3500 (dinner)

What to expect
Join a local check for a unique Indigenous experience. Through culinary and cultural teachings and hands-on demonstrations, you will deepen your understanding of the connection between food, the land, and Indigenous Culture.
This experience, hosted in NorQuest’s Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation Hospitality Institute, includes:
- Guided cultural experience rooted in Indigenous traditions and teachings.
- Hands-on cooking demo featuring Indigenous cuisine led by a local Indigenous chef.
- A plated meal service that offers either a light lunch or a three-course dinner.
Note: dietary needs can be accommodated upon request.
Who is this experience for?
Ideal for teams or groups wanting to deepen their understanding of Indigenous culture, this experience is designed to deepen cultural awareness, foster economic reconciliation, and support Indigenous-led learning.
About the chef
Chef Holly Holt is a proud Okanagan Syilx woman and an award-winning chef in Edmonton, Alberta. She has 15 years of experience in the culinary arts and over 20 years in hospitality. Holly is a graduate of NAIT’s Culinary Arts program and specializes in contemporary Indigenous cuisine, nutrition, and plant-forward cooking. She is passionate about learning, reclaiming, and highlighting the Indigenous Cuisine of Turtle Island, which is a way for herself to reconnect with her own culture. When not in the kitchen, Holly enjoys beading, art, reading, walking her dogs, self-care, hiking, swimming, traveling, and learning.
Holly is also known for her role with the Yellowhead Tribal Council and SheCooks Catering, where she showcases Indigenous flavours and community-driven food traditions. Her journey in the culinary world began at the age of 23, and she has since created dishes that are not only nutritious but also easy to prepare and accessible to others. Her work has significantly impacted the community, and she continues to trust her instincts and do things in her own way, with love as the secret ingredient in her cooking.
Chef Holly Holt's participation in Top Chef Canada is a testament to her talent and dedication to her craft. Her journey and contributions to the culinary world are sure to inspire many.
